Temporary teachers stage protest in Sarlahi
Sarlahi, June 18 :
The temporary school teachers who automatically have to leave their jobs after the appointment of permanent teachers in their posts, demanding appoint under the relief quota, locked up the entrance gate of the district education office and staged a sit-in protest today.
The teachers working on temporary basis got retirement after the permanent teachers selected through the exam of Teachers’ Selection Committee replaced them in 2003.
The temporary teachers worked for 10 years from 2049 to 2060 B.S. “We worked for more than ten years; the democratic government should understand the pain of displaced teachers,” said, former lower secondary teacher of Sisapur, Rajendra Mahato.
