CHITWAN: Chitwan Police have arrested ten gamblers with Rs 81,200 cash from Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan district.

They were taken under custody, Monday evening, from the residence of Purushottam Upadhyaya in ward no. 10 of the metropolis.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Chitwan District Police Office, Durga Raj Regmi, they were caught red-handed while gambling.

Police raided the house based on the information that there was regular gambling taking place.

The arrestees have been sent to the judicial custody on Tuesday for further investigation, added DSP Regmi. They will be charged under the existing law.
