Thai varsity, KU sign MoU
Lalitpur, November 17:
Kathmandu University (KU) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thailand’s Mahidol University (MU). The two institutions aim to work together in the areas of medical science, public health, environmental sciences, social sciences and engineering.
A delegation of 12 high-level authorities of the MU arrived in Kathmandu yesterday to sign the MoU. MU president Clinical Professor Piyasakon Sakhonsatayadon and deans from different faculties, including Faculties of Medicine, Public health, Tropical Medicine, Environmental Sciences and Social Sciences, are in the Thai delegation. Speaking at a press conference today, MU’s Associate Professor Chanuantong Tanasugarn said, “We signed the MoU to promote the education sector in Nepal. This will also coincide with the golden jubilee celebration of the the establishment of bi-lateral ties between Nepal and Thailand next year.”
