Kathmandu, August 28

Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit today said the Ministry of Physical Planning, Works and Transport Management has taken initiative to take necessary action against civil servant Dhaniram Chaudhary, who is one of the leaders of the ongoing Tharu movement.

Chaudhary heads Tharu Welfare Council — a social organisation working as an umbrella organisation of all the Tharu communities of the country. He is also an engineer working under the Ministry of Physical Planning, Works and Transport Management.
