Tharuhat agitators relax protests in view of Dashain festival
DHANGADHI: The Tharuhat/Tharuwan Struggle Committee, which has been waging struggle in protest against delineation of federal units in southern plains, has relaxed its agitation in view of Dashain, the biggest festival of Nepalis.
Organising a press conference in Dhangadhi today, Committee's Spokesperson Madhav Chaudhary shared that they adopted flexibility regarding their agitation keeping in mind the festive season round the corner.
He further said that the vehicular movement on the short distance would not be restricted and the markets would remain open.
According to him, their agitation would continue following the Dashain celebrations.
Vehicular movement and markets are in Kailali district, however, are operating smoothly before the Committee announced the decision.
The Committee has been demanding a separate province incorporating areas from Kanchanpur to Chitwan.
