KATHMANDU:  Armed Police Force said its personnel arrested three persons in possession of 175 kg marijuana from Koshi Tappu  in Sunsari district on Wednesday.

The suspects are Bidyananda Mukhiya ( 22) of Shreepur- 6, Sunsari ; Sanjeev Mukhiya ( 18) of Rajabas- 9, Sunsari and Ghanashyam Khadka ( 20) of Hasanpur-1, Bhojpur.

A team of APF personnel from the Haripur-based Border Outpost held the trio after discovering the contraband in their possession in Koshi Tappu Rural Municipality-2.

The suspects as well as the contraband have been handed over to the Nepal Police for legal action, the APF headquarters said in a statement.
