HETADUA: Police arrested three persons in possession of illegal silver worth Rs 5 lakh from Ratomate Checkpost of Hetauda Sub-metropolis in Makawanpur on Monday.

The arrested have been identified as Bhola Prasad Sunar, 32, Raj Kumar Sunar, 40, and Umesh Sah, 42, of Birgunj, Pasa.

A police team deployed from Pashupatinagar Area Police Office had searched a bus, en route to Hetauda from Birgunj, and seized 14.3 grams illegal silver from the trio.

DSP Bam Dev Gautam, Makawanpur of District Police Office, said the arrested, along with the seized items were handed to Revenue Investigation Office, Pathliya, for further investigation.
