Three killed in tipper accident in Dang

KATHMANDU: Three persons lost their life and one sustained critical injuries after a tipper, laden with raw materials for a cement factory, met with an accident in Dang of western Nepal on Monday night.

Police said the incident occurred after the tipper (Ra 2 Kha 947) skidded off the road and fell 200 metres down the Dang-Ghorahi road at Saigha.

The three, including tipper driver Tilak Bahadur Gharti of Salyan, died on the spot.

The driver's helper, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, and Ajaya Nepali of Saigha, are other victims, according to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Critically injured Khim Bahadur Sarki (20) of Saigha has been sent to the Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur for further treatment, police said.
