Three Maoists arrested

Bhairahwa, April 15:

Security forces have arrested three Maoists including an injured woman cadre last night.

According to security sources in Rupandehi, these rebels were involved in Beni Bazaar clashes. Among them, a woman rebel called Goma Adhikari alias Ruchi of Bhalayakhark VDC of Lamjung district was undergoing treatment at Universal Medical College in Bhairahwa.

The two other Maoists Lekhnath Neupane of Manigram VDC of Rupandehi and Mina Thapa of Kapilbastu were taking care of the injured cadre.

At present, Adhikari is undergoing treatment in the presence of security forces. She was admitted to the hospital a week ago and one of her legs had to be amputated. Meanwhile, the Maoists have appealed to different human rights organisations to protect the life of Adhikari.
