URLABARI, MORANG: At least three persons lost their life to a fire that engulfed a house in Harkapur, Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-3, in Morang district in the wee hours of Thursday.

The fire suddenly broke out at the two-storied house belonging to Chandra Bahadur Rai at 3:00 am today killing three women from the same family.

The deceased have been identified as mother Rai 's mother Gangamaya (86), his wife Parbata (46), and his sister Bishnumaya (44).

Chandra Bahadur was also inside the house but his condition is still unknown, informed Sub-Inspector at Area Police Office, Pathari, Raj Kumar Basnet.

The search for Rai is on, police said.

The fire was taken under control at 5.00 am with the help of three fire engines, locals and police.

It is yet to ascertain the cause of the blaze and the investigation into the incident is underway, police informed.
