Kathmandu, August 9:

Nepal and Guatemala have established diplomatic relations. According to a press release issued yesterday by the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Nepal to the United Nations in New York, Permanent Representative Ambassador Madhu Raman Acharya and the Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations Ambassador Jorge Skinner-Klee, signed a joint communique to this effect at the Permanent Mission of Nepal in New York.

With the establishment of diplomatic relations, both countries are aiming at promoting and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the political, commercial and cultural fields.
