DHADING: A bike rider and a pillion rider lost their life after a tipper hit a motorbike they were riding on at Khayarghari in Prithvilokarma of the district on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the deceased have been identified as biker Sagar Rai (25) and pillion rider Purna Bahadur Rai (30) of Homtang in Bhojpur.

Police informed that Sagar died on the spot when the tipper heading towards Galchi of Dhading from Kathmandu hit the two-wheeler en route to Kathmandu from Muglin yesterday afternoon.

Pillion rider Purna Bahadur, who was critically injured in the incident, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning, police further informed.

Police said they have impounded the tipper and arrested its driver for investigation.
