Tokre canal constructed at Rs 86.6 million in Nawalparasi
NAWALPARASI: The construction of Tokre canal in Devchuli Municipality of Nawalparasi has been completed.
The canal was constructed with the funding of around Rs 86.6 million from World Bank and the participation of people.
It is the second largest canal in the district after the Gandak canal, informed Chief of Nawalparasi Irrigation Development Division Office, Chudaraj Dhakal.
People from the northern belt of Devchuli Municipality covering Rambas, Mudhabas, Tinghare, Bishaltar, Munde and Aanptari would benefit from the canal.
