Summers are no more a nightmare for the residents of Solukhumbu district as they have to walk quite a distance to fetch water. All the 16 houses in Pawai village in Solukhumbu district are soon going to get drinking water, thanks to a group of German tourists.
Six new channels of water have been bought to the village from Chapakhara river. Earlier, the villagers had to walk some two kilometres to fetch water.
Mimma Sherpa, a local, initiated the construction of water taps which is being supported by Kerald and his friends.
