A large number of domestic and international tourists have thronged the tourist city of Pokhara to mark the New Year, 2020.

Likewise, hoteliers and the entrepreneurs have upped their preparations in a grand manner to welcome more tourists at Lakeside and other areas of the Lake city.

Last midnight, a number of cultural and merrymaking events were organised on the street in Lakeside.

Likewise, the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal organised the 21st edition of the street festival like in the previous years, which has lured more visitors to the city.

Lots of cultural activities and performances were organised to exchange New Year greetings on the street near Phewa Lake.

Four different stages were made for cultural shows at the site. Some 3.5 kilometres area of Lakeside and Baidam were decorated like brides.

The organisers of the street festival said that over 100 restaurants offered their services to the visitors during the street festival and the visitors enjoyed traditional Nepali cultural shows, even rare ones, international cuisines and documentaries as well as other offerings in the fest.
