RAUTAHAT: A child died after being hit by a tractor in Pharhadawa of Rajpur in the Rautahat district on Wednesday.

Sahid Sheikh, a nine-year-old, died on the spot after being crushed by the tractor, which was marked "on test."

Driver Nasir Sheikh of Pokhariya Tole of Pharhadawa-4, was returning home from a farm when the accident occurred.

The body has being kept at the District Hospital Gaur for postmortem, DSP Rajendra Pokharel informed.

Police said they are searching for the driver, who is on large since the incident.
