URLABARI, MORANG: A woman died after a tractor struck the motorcycle she was riding on, in Rangeli Municipality-8 of Morang district, on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Latiya Paswan (40) of Katahari Rural Municipality, in the district.

According to Rangeli-based Area Police Office (APO), the tractor (Ko 2 Ta 5067) struck the motorcycle (Ko 2 Pa 1397) killing its pillion rider Paswan on the spot in Darwesha area on Monday evening.

The tractor supplying sand from local Chisang River rammed the two-wheeler along the Rangeli-Dohamana road stretch.

Motorcyclist Purushottam Risal (50) sustained minor injuries in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at the Rangeli hospital.

Meanwhile, the APO has detained the tractor driver and impounded the vehicle for investigation.
