Training on CA for college students

Kathmandu, July 2:

Steps Nepal — an NGO working for social development — has begun orientation programmes on Constituent Assembly (CA) for students of eight public colleges of the valley. The students will, in turn, launch awareness programmes for the general public.

Coordinator of the programme — ‘Expanding Platforms for Youth Engagement in Transition to Democracy’ — Kiran Pokhrel said the objective of the programme supported by the USAID Nepal is to create awareness on constituent assembly among students and the general people.

“Five students each from all the eight colleges of the valley — Patan Multiple Campus, Ratna Rajya Campus, Mahendra Ratna Tahachal, Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Amrit Science Campus, Balmeeki Campus, Nepal Law Campus and Biswo Bhasha Campus — will be selected for a training programme where they will hold a debate on the CA in their colleges from August 3,” he said.
