NARAYANGADHA: Transportation Entrepreneurs National Federation (TENF) of Narayani chapter called a Narayani zonal transportation bandh on Friday to protest the attack on Ashok Pokharel, vice president of the TENF Narayani.

Pokharel was attacked with khukuris by three unidentified motorcyclists at Lila Chowk in Narayanghadh. He was seriously injured in the incident and his treatment is underway at TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.

The agitators have stopped long and short route vehicles in Parsa, Bara, Makawanpur, Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts of Narayani zone.

According to Khadka Bahadur Gurung, the TENF Chitwan chapter coordinator, the agitation would continue until the attackers were brought to book. However, the District Police Office Chitwan said that it has not identified the attackers yet.
