DHANGADHI: A truck driver died on the spot in a road accident in Kailali district, along on the East-West Highway, this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Hari Prasad Chaudhary, a permanent resident of Lamahi Municipality in Dang.

Likewise, the driver's assistant has sustained seriously injuries in the accident.

The incident occurred when the truck (Na 6 Kha 1990) heading towards Dhangadhi from Dang flicked off the road and fell in a roadside drainage, said Inspector Kalendra Bikram Shahi at the at the Area Police Office in Sadakpurbauniya, Kailali.

Injured Anil Chaudhary of the Municipality has been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.

The truck laden with cement might have met with the accident due to the early morning mist, said police.
