POKHARA: A person died and another sustained minor injuries after a truck hit a scooter they were riding on, at Tallo Gagangaunda, Lekhanath Municipality-13 in Kaski district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Ganju Shrestha (40) of Laxmi Bazaar-8 in Gorkha district.

Shrestha had died on the spot.

The scooter rider Ram Bahadur Thapa of Laxmi Bazaar-8 was injured in the incident.

The incident occurred when the scooter (Ba 53 Pa 2602) was hit by the truck (Na 5 Kha 8595) this morning.

Both the vehicles were en route to Pokhara, Kaski from Damauli, Tanahun when the incident occurred.

According to the Power House Temporary Traffice Police Post In-charge Rudra Bahadur Malla, police impounded the four-wheeler and arrested its driver for further investigation.
