The Teachers Service Commission has finally issued the much-awaited vacancy announcement for 1,547 secondary teachers in the first phase.
TSC, a government body that is supposed to issue the vacancy notice every six months, has called for fresh teachers in 15 subjects after several years.
As per the advertisement, 435 science teachers have been demanded. Likewise, vacancies in subjects such as education, Sanskrit literature and Justice were sought. Of the number of teachers demanded, 259 are mathematics teachers and 201 are social studies teachers.
Aspiring teachers have one month to fill their applications. With this vacancy announcement, more than 250,000 aspiring secondary teachers who have already acquired teaching licence will participate in the teachers examination.
TSC has revealed a plan to call for vacancy for 17,232 teachers in all the levels within this fiscal. Of them ,13,089 are primary teachers.
A total of 742,000 aspiring teachers holding teaching licences will compete for these posts.
