SAPTARI: A wild elephant that came out of the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve demolished a private school at Hanumannagar Joginimai Municipality-1 in Saptari district on Saturday.

Local resident Lal Majhi said that a rough elephant entered the human settlement and demolished the Shekhar Boarding School based in Sakardahi area of Hanumannagar Joginimai Municipality.

It is said that the walls of the school building have been damaged, causing a huge loss.

The locals chased away the pachyderm to the jungle after it created terror in the area.
