Twelve arrested for anti-election activities in Accham
ACCHAM: As many as 12 persons have been reportedly arrested on the charge of indulging in anti-election activities from Accham district recently.
Police arrested them from various locations of the district in a police crackdown following the security beef-up for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and States Assemblies slated for December 7 in 45 districts across the nation.
Those arrested, with some having affiliation to Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal, have been detained for disrupting the election environment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dadhiram Neupane at the District Police Office, Accham.
However, police have not revealed any details about them.
"Investigation is underway, we will make the details public only after it is over," DSP Neupane said.
