DAMAULI, JANUARY 15
Police arrested two persons in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old man in Tanahun's Byas Municipality today.
According to DSP Yuvraj Khadka of District Police Office, Ayush Tiwari, 23, and Sangam Gurung, 19, of Daraipadhera, have been arrested for the murder of Kiran Kumar Gurung, 33, of Pokhara Metropolitan City.
"It has emerged that the murder was committed over a dispute about drinking water while they were boozing together on Thursday morning," said DSP Khadka.
Police found a machete and a farm tool used to break clay soil that were used in the murder. Police have informed that the trio were painters working in Kathmandu and also that there was some longstanding issue between Tiwari and the murdered man.
The two involved in the murder were detained after Kiran's father filed an FIR against them. Police said a murder case has been filed against the duo and investigation is under way.
