Police on Friday arrested two persons with a huge cache of marijuana from their possession from Gaur, the district headquarter of Rautahat.
Acting on a special tip-off, a team from the District Police Office seized 186-kilo grams of Marijuana hidden inside the parked truck (Na 8 Kha 5943) at the premise of Shiwangi Petrol Pump in Gaur Municipality-4 at 9:30 am today.
The cannabis was packaged in 12 packets of 15.5 kg each and hidden inside a false bottom of the minitruck, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Binod Ghimire.
Police detained driver Sikindra Gole (25) and Riktam Tamang (19) of Thaha Municipality-12 in Makawanpur after the marijuana was discovered, according to SP Ghimire.
The Gaur District Court has placed both the arrestees under judicial custody for further investigation.
