KAWASOTI: Police arrested two cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) in Nawalpur, on Thursday night.

The arrested have been identified as Ganesh BK, alias 'Guransh' and Govinda BK.

According to Nawalpur District Police Office, the CPN cadres were arrested from Simalghari in Madhyabindu Municipality-10 in the district, at around 8:00 pm yesterday. They were arrested on suspicion of carrying out illegal activities.

Further details of the arrest of CPN cadres and ongoing investigation would be informed later, police informed.

Meanwhile, the arrestees have been taken in custody at the DPO for further investigation, police said.

Prior to this, the CPN had discharged Ganesh and taken action against him for his bad conduct.
