JTMM-J cadres abducted a civilian in Mahottari district on Saturday. JTMM-J cadres led by area in-charge, Gabbar, abducted Narayan Prasad Upadhyay, 53, of Sangrampurtole of Hatisarwa VDC-4, JTMM-J district in-charge Surya told journalists over phone. “Upadhyay was abducted as he was tilling 14 bighas of land that was seized by JTMM-J without the permission of the party,” Surya said. Upadhyay’s brother-in- law, Dilip Ghimire, has urged journalists to make attempts for the safe release of Upadhyay. Meanwhile, a gang abducted a health worker in Saptari on Sunday. Satya Narayan Thakur, assistant health worker at sub-health post in Belhichapena-8 of the district was abducted while he was on the way to irrigate a wheat field near his house. — HNS
