POKHARA: Two persons were killed in a tractor accident in Bihadi Rural Municipality-5 of Parbat district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as local residents Padam Bahadur Nepali (35) and Bikku KC (28).

According to Parbat District Police Office, the tractor (Dha 1 Cha 315) veered off the road and plunged about 100 metres killing the tractor owner, Nepali, and critically injuring KC, at Hadikharka in Uram, at around 4:00 pm yesterday. The tractor carrying the duo was heading towards Uram from Ghattarpat when the incident occurred, said police.

It has been learned that KC was pronounced dead upon arrival at Waling Hospital in Syangja district.

Meanwhile, police have taken the tractor driver in police custody and the investigation into the incident is underway.
