Two persons died after being buried under the debris of a landslide while three sustained injuries in Tamung of Bandipur Rural Municipality-3.
The injured, according to the police, are in a critical condition. Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Saraswati Thapa (30), and Harimaya Basel (70), both of Tamung. Both of them were recovered lifeless from the spot of the incident, said ward member Harka Bahadur Thapa.
Saraswati's father-in-law Dil Bahadur Magar, mother-in-law Daurimaya Magar and brother-in-law Subhash Thapa sustained injuries in the landslide.
The landslide had buried their house, said deputy chief of the rural municipality, Karuna Gurung. People's representatives are headed to the landslide-hit area on foot, she informed.
At present, four other houses are at risk of getting buried, as per the ward officials.
