CHAUTARA: Two passengers died and nine others were injured in a bus accident at Baramchi of Sindhupalchowk district on Wednesday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Maili Tamang, 47, of Baramchi VDC-2 and Daba Syangbo, 55, of ward number 6 of the same VDC.

Three of the injured are in critical condition and are receiving treatment at district hospital in Kavre, said DSP Biswo Adhikari.

The passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 2702) en route to Paitan VDC, Kattike from Kathmandu veered off some 200m down the road.

The injured were rescued the same night, said police.
