PHIDIM: Telephonic communication has been disrupted in the districts of Panchthar and Taplejung districts after the telephone repeater tower at Silauti developed technical glitches on Thursday. Acting chief of the Nepal Telecom Company, Phidim office, Yogendra Sigu, said Thursday’s snowfall had affected the tower battery. The problem has rendedred some 1,000 lines useless. The NTC said the problem had caused it a loss of Rs 10,00,000. — HNS
