Two girls stabbed

Jhapa, August 4 :

A group of unidentified persons stabbed two girls in the Jhapa-based Goldhap Bhutanese refugee camp after their rape bid failed, the Charali Police Post said.

The two girls were stabbed while they were trying to make an escape, the police post further said.

The police identified the two as Tika Devi Sarki and Hari Maya Shrestha.

Tika Devi is undergoing treatment in Amda hospital in Damak.

Tika Devi is in a critical condition, a source at Amda hospital said, citing a physician attending

to her.
