Police have arrested two men in Kathmandu for engaging in illegal cryptocurrency transactions worth Rs 7.4 million, the District Police Range said on Monday.
The suspects, identified as Bishal Dangol (36) of Kathmandu-14 and Umesh Shrestha (45) of Morang, currently residing in Kalanki, were detained from Bijulibazaar on Saturday following a tip-off, according to Superintendent of Police Pavan Kumar Bhattarai.
Police also seized five mobile phones allegedly used to conduct the crypto transactions.
Further investigation is underway, police added.
