Biratnagar, September 8:

Two persons were injured when Maoists and MJF cadres clashed over the appointment of a temporary teacher in local Kalika High School in Tekuwa of Morang last night.

One cadre from each side was injured. The situation in Kasijungbasti of Takuwa remained tense throughout the night.

Area in-charge of Young Communist League Ram Raj Das sustained serious injury in the clash and is undergoing treatment in Dharan.

Likewise, MJF cadre Dev Narayan Das, who was injured in the clash, is undergoing treatment in Rangeli Hospital.The clash ensued after Madan Das was appointed in the school under YCL pressure. YCL cadres also vandalised the houses and motorcycles of MJF supporters Jagannath, Dev Narayan, Meghnath and Mahendra Das.

The police have arrested Meghnath Das and Shristhi Das on the charge of being involved in the incident.
