Two hurt in Bara motorcycle accident
BARA: Two persons died after the motorcycle they were travelling on rammed into the truck in Nijgadh Municipality- 9 along the East-West Highway in Bara district on Thursday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Birendra Thakur Lohar of Katahariya Municipality of Rautahat district and Ganesh Pathank (32) of Lalbandi Municipality-16 of Sarlahi.
According to Police Inspector Bikram Lama at Nijgadh Area Police Office, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Na 41 Pa 5880) en route from Nijgadh to Chandrapur rammed into the minitruck (Na 8 Kha 473) parked near the Bhamara Bridge, killing Lohar on the spot and injuring Pathak.
Critically injured Pathak was rushed to Birgunj-based National Medical College after preliminary treatment at Community Hospital in Nijgadh. Pathak was later referred to Kathmandu-based Neuro Hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment this morning.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
