Two, including ward chair dead in Bajura jeep plunge, 13 injured

KATHMANDU: Two persons died and 13 sustained injuries after a jeep plunged 300 metres down the road in Triveni Municipality-4 of Bajura district on Wednesday night.

Ward Chair Khamba Nepali and Lalsara Devi Budha (45) of Triveni Municipality-1 in the district died on the spot.

The jeep carrying 14 passengers and cement had plunged down the wet road raising suspicions that overloading caused the incident.

Meanwhile, the injured were taken to the Achham-based Bayalpata Hospital for treatment.

Five out of the seven critically injured were taken to Nepalgunj.

The jeep was en route to Chhatara in Triveni Municipality from Bamk Bazaar in Budhiganga Municipality.
