BAJURA: Two women were severely injured after being attacked by a bear at Khatigaun in Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality in Bajura district.

The victims have been identified as Jalu Dhami (52) and Shanti Dhami (16), according to ward chair Harka Rawat.

Jalu has sustained injuries to her eyes while Shanti has suffered wounds to her back. Dhami duo come under the attack from the wild beast while they had been collecting foliage near local Chhadi stream this morning.

The injured have been referred to Achham-based Bayalpata Hospital from the local Gudukhati Health Post.
