KATHMANDU: Two persons were injured after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-8 of Sunsari district on Saturday night, police said.

The injured have been identified as Mangal Limbu and Sunil Limbu of Dungesangu Rural Municipality-1 of Taplejung district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ko 19 Pa 15) en route from Dharan to Itahari lost control and fell on the road at 8:30 pm yesterday, injuring the Limbu duo.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Institute of Health Sciences, informed police.

According to the hospital sources, the motorcyclist is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
