Two kids resuced from abductors' clutches

KATHMANDU: Police said they rescued two children from clutches of kidnappers in Sunsari and Banke districts on Saturday.

Muhammad Dilwar Miya (9), son of Muhammad Jawul Miya in Madheli-8 of Sunsari district, was rescued from Araria district of Bihar in India, in coordination with Indian Police today.

Police said he was abducted on Friday.

Earlier, a team deployed from the Duhabi Area Police Offfice had nabbed on Rizwan Ansari (17) from Sonapur-8 of the district, who told police that the boy was held hostage in Araria.

Another suspect of the incident, 25-year-old Alauddin Miya is on the run and police are looking for him.

In another case, five-year-old Sujan Oli, a resident of Tulsipur-9 of Dang district, was rescued from Kohalpur-11 of Banke today.

After receiving information that an unidentified man took the child along with him, a team deployed from the Kohalpur Area Police Office had found the child near a local bus park today.

Police also arrested the suspect identified as Ammar Khadka of Mahadevpur-4 of Banke.

Local police are looking into both cases.
