MAKAWANPUR, NOVEMBER 10

Two persons were killed while 16 others sustained injuries after a truck and a bus collided with each other in Nawalpur of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City on Tuesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred when the truck (Pradesh-2-0301 Kha 5035) and the night bus (Na 7 Kha 876), en route to Kathmandu from Janakpur, collided head-on, killing two on the spot.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be established, informed Jayashwor Rimal, Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

According to Rimal, 15 bus passengers and the truck driver who were injured in the accident are receiving treatment at the Chure Hill Hospital and Cooperative Hospital in Hetauda.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the incident, informed police.
