Pokhara: Two sisters in a scooter have been killed as a school bus ran them down in Ranipouwa on Monday. A school bus of Paschimanchal Boarding School had hit the scooter. According to the District Police Office, Sita Khawas, 24, and her sister Jiya, 20, died while being rushed to the hospital. Tulasi Adhikari, DSP, said that the bus driver and the bus were under police custody. The bodies have been kept at the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara for autopsy. The family members of the deceased, however, have been pressuring the police to avail compensation and punish the culprits.
