Mahottari, March 7:

A cylinder bomb carried by two persons went off, killing the duo on the spot at Ratabar of the Jaleshwor-Madai section of road in Jaleshwor, today. The deceased have been identified as Makeshwor Sah of Prempur VDC-8 of Dhanusha and Mithun Paswan of Tarapatti-8, who was also an area member of the Youth Force, Dhanusha. Based on documents recovered from the site, the police said the two were involved in armed activities. The bomb exploded while they were heading towards Madai from Jaleshwor on a motorcycle. The police also recovered a home-made pistol from the incident site, according to SP Krishna Prasad Gautam.
