Two killed in Chitwan bike accident

RATNANAGAR: Two persons died after the motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5 along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section of Chitwan district on Sunday morning.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be identified, according to police.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 65 Pa 3704) en route from Muglin to Narayangadh lost control and crashed into the bridge railing at 7:00 am today. The duo flew off the two-wheeler and fell around 100 metres below the road after the crash while the motorcycle got stuck in the railing, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shiva Sharma Acharya at District Police Office, Chitwan.

Police with the help of Kurintar-based Armed Police Force retrieved the bodies using rope.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
