KATHMANDU: Two persons died after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident in Chandrapur Municipality-9 of Rautahat district on Thursday night, police said.

The deceased have been identified as motorcyclist Akshay Yadav (21) and pillion rider Riwaj Chaudhary (17), both residents of Gajura Rural Municipality-9 in the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 46 1330) lost its control and fell on the road, critically injuring both the riders in Dumriya at 9:30 pm yesterday.

The injured duo breathed their last on the way to health facilities, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
