Tanahun, January 4:

A jeep plying for Chhabdi from Damauli in the district met with an accident near Amarapuri of Byas-2 this afternoon killing two and injuring 11. The condition of five of the injured are reported to be serious.

Apsara Adhikary, 26, and her daughter Asmita, 10, of Byas-2, died in the accident, District Police Office, Tanahun, said.

Seriously injured Pabitra Mahat, 50, of Byas-2, Jivan Panta ,29, Dil Maya Bhujel, 23, and Krishna Gharti, 18, of Byas-1, and Raju Gautam, 20, of Kesabatar-7 are undergoing treatment in Pokhara.
