KATHMANDU, JANUARY 21
Two people lost their lives in a motorcycle accident along the Prithvi Highway at Belbhanjyang in Byas Municipality-12, Tanahun, on Sunday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Gandaki Province 03-001Pa 0310) lost control and skidded off the road, killing both the rider and pillion passenger on the scene. The motorcycle was traveling from Damauli to Dumre, it was learned.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, police said.
The motorcycle appeared to have lost control due to foggy conditions, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Thapa of the District Police Office stated, as quoted by Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
