NUWAKOT: Two people were killed in two separate incidents in Nuwakot on Thursday.

The first victim was identified as Buddhiram Tamang hailing from Meghang Rural Municipality.

He breathed his last when the excavator he was operating, went out of control and fell about 50 metres below the road at Gosyang in Tarakeshwar Rural Municipality-5 in the district, according to Police Chief Basanta Kunwar at the Nuwakot District Police Office. Helper Tamang was operating the machine in absence of the driver.

Likewise, 28-year-old Sun Bahadur Tamang of Betini in Tupcheshwar Rural Municipality-4 was electrocuted on Thursday evening.

Tamang got electric shock while he was constructing the house of his neighbour Chandra Bahadur Tamang.

Police said that Tamang died on the spot when he touched the uninsulated electric wire.
