PALPA, SEPTEMBER 27
Two people were killed and three others went missing in separate landslides in Palpa district on Sunday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai of the District Police Office, 75-year-old Sher Bahadur Chidi of Rupse Rajouli, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-2, and 59-year-old Krishnakumari Saru of Thimure Dhustung, Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6, died in the landslides.
The bodies of both victims have been recovered and taken to Palpa District Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Meanwhile, three people have gone missing after a landslide buried the house of Lil Bahadur Ghartimagar at Bhaisikattha, Kaseni, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-3.
Two members of Ghartimagar's family and a daughter of a neighbour are missing.
Police are continuing the search for the missing people, DSP Bhattarai said.
