KAVRE: At least two minors drowned and a third has gone missing in Sunkoshi River in Dolalghat, Kavre, on Monday.

According to District Police Office, Kavre, Sanjib Thakuri, 11, and Sanoj Pahari, 10, of Kafalpani, Dolalghat VDC, drowned in the river while the whereabouts of Nabin Thakuri, 13, is currently unknown.

The three boys had gone swimming in the river after they returned from Dolalghat bazaar.

Locals and Nepal Police initiated a rescue operation soon after the incident, but couldn’t save the two boys.
